God heals Victoria's right eye..

It was more than 20 years ago, at the beginning of the night, my daughter Victoria was about 3 and a half years old, she was starting to talk. I was working on my computer when I saw her come in with a box cutter in her hand and say "oh daddy..." with a big heart and an apologetic tone that meant "oh sorry I made a big mistake". She was wounded in the eye. I will not describe the wound because it would be unbearable.
I took her in my arms, reassuring her gently and I asked my wife not to panic, to take the car out in front of the gate and put the heating on, to go to the emergency room. I took Victoria to the kitchen where I took a napkin to mop up the bleeding and then I went out into the yard with Victoria in my arms. I reassured and comforted her while trusting in God. I got into the passenger side of the car and we left for the emergency room 20 km from home.
In the car, Victoria was quiet and still, her head resting on my chest, the presence of God filling the car. I prayed to God softly.
In the middle of the drive, Victoria tugged on the front of my shirt and said, "This is it, Daddy!" and a great joy and relief washed over me from my fontanel to my feet.
When I arrived at the emergency room there were 3 nurses. One of them made phone calls while the other two cleaned the wound. There was really a lot of blood but I was very relieved, knowing that God had intervened on the way. The nurses were very calm and gentle as well, there was a great inexplicable joy that reigned.
A great eye specialist arrived and we went to a room with equipment. He examined Victoria's eye with one of them and said to me after a long moment of observation where he asked Victoria to look up, down, on the sides: "but there is nothing wrong with your daughter...". I insisted because I had seen the punctured eye but he said to me in an astonished tone: yes, I have a piece of cornea and an eyelash that are wandering around... but there is nothing wrong with the eye, look for yourself: the eye is intact. I looked through the magnifying lens of the camera and indeed the eye was beautiful. He showed me the piece of cornea and asked Victoria to sit in a chair. The doctor then proceeded to remove the eyelash from the eye but he had arthritis in his twisted fingers and could not do it. Victoria was contorting herself in the seat... so I said stop! The eyelash will go away by itself, Victoria will remove it mechanically by the corner of her eye with a finger... Leave her alone, she has had enough emotion for today.
Before letting her stand up, he exploded in a sudden "BOOM!" that startled Victoria. I didn't understand why he did that. We thanked the nursing staff who had been very kind to Victoria and went home happily.
This is God's grace: where there were supposed to be lifelong consequences, there was nothing but gratitude to God and an even greater trust in His faithfulness and grace.
Glory to God!
